The Pinae Pervertae are a flora of tree native to Loss. The Eremite claims them newly discovered by him, and names them "pinae pervertae", translated from Latin as "chambers of the perverted". The pinae are tall, brown, and sinnowy. A small "lapping" sound may be heard if close to one. Though he cannot explain why, the Eremite hates the tree and finds it ugly and disturbing; potentially even sexually violating, but it is only his imagining.
The Lossians may have used pinae trees to string their rarely-used musical instruments.
